Dr Xolelwa Zulu joins the CenGen team as an Independent Director

CenGen is extremely privileged to announce that Dr Xolelwa Zulu has been appointed as Independent Director of the company as from the 9th of December 2019.

Dr Prins was first introduced to Xolelwa on a scientific tour to the UK, hosted by the British High Commission and Agbiz Grain. At the time, Xolelwa was the Science and Innovation Attaché for the British High Commission in Pretoria. She has previously been the project manager for the Beef Genomics Project at the University of Pretoria and has, apart from scientific knowledge, extensive experience in project management, the acquisition of funding, research capacity development and international collaborations and relations – a skill set that will complement our research and operations tremendously. She is currently the manager for Strategic Research, Development and Innovation Programs at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa and has been awarded a Black Women in Science Fellowship in 2019. We are excited about the enthusiasm for science and innovation Xolelwa brings to us and look forward to working with her to propel CenGen to new heights!

Siyamkwamnkela Gqirha Zulu, sijonge lukhulu kuhambo lwethu nawe njengoCenGen!

Welcome, Dr Zulu, we look forward to our journey with you at CenGen!
