DIPLOMICS, an initiative of the Department of Sciences and Technology (DST), recently placed a QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System along with two other instruments at CenGen. This is part of DIPLOMICS’ goal to strengthen infrastructure capacity at service laboratories in South Africa.
Riegardt Johnson, applications specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, provided a full day of training to the CenGen team on the new equipment. Through this placement and by providing support for equipment maintenance, DIPLOMICS boosts the activities at CenGen which are all aimed at supporting the Agri-sector in South Africa.
