Carla de Beer
Research Scientist
Carla holds an MSc in Plant Biotechnology and a BScAgric in Horticulture and Genetics from Stellenbosch University, and plans to pursue a PhD in the future. She has experience in both education and horticultural consulting, with a growing interest in computer programming and bioinformatics.
As a researcher at CenGen, Carla supports the horticulture, vine and diverse crop clients with cultivar verification and is excited to integrate her knowledge in this position. She aims to make the CenGen’s services more cost-effective and broaden the range of offerings available to clients.
